My ever growing belly

This post is for all of you who don't get to see me all that often. Today I am currently 25 weeks along. It looks and feels as if I'm 35 weeks. I had an acquaintance at church tell me, "You look...big. I have a girlfriend who is petite like you who is hardly showing and she's also due the first of October." WELL THANKS A LOT LADY!! WAY TO MAKE ME FEEL BETTER ABOUT THE 20 POUNDS I'VE ALREADY PACKED ON!! Oh well, she hasn't had kids yet, so I can't be too hard on her.
Anyhow, little baby "B" is growing quite well. As the belly indicates. She moves around a lot and is like her mommy; she loves sweets. We still haven't settled on a name for her. Thanks to all for your suggestions...we've got a few we're mulling over.
By the way, my mom is the artist. We painted a big sunflower on my belly when Franklin was about 8 months along. We'll probably do another picture in two months from now so you can see how REALLY big I get. Maybe a piggy, or a blimp. What do you think?? Besides growing in all sorts of directions, I am sooooo thankful to be pregnant and have a spirit growing and moving around in me. It truly is a beautiful marvel.

Mugga's house

Little Franklin calls both of his grandma's "Mugga." Neither of them mind, how can you when the kid is so cute? He loves his Mugga's house in Clearfield. We've established a tradition of going to Mugga's house on Tuesdays. Franklin gets so excited when he wakes up and I tell him "It's Mugga Tuesday." When he gets buckled into his car seat and sees we're heading North on the freeway, he throws both arms above his head and exclaims, "Yay, Mugga's house!" I think it's one of the cutest things ever. He loves to go there because there is grass, there's grass, and there's more grass. Ok so she has a lawn and open space, but she also has a trampoline (with a safety net), a slide, or two, sprinklers, a toddler pool, and DIRT!! Mugga got a fresh pile of dirt to dump on her garden and Franklin has been in it every chance he gets with his trucks and cars and baby stroller. You'll see in the picture there is a baby stroller that he loves to push all over the place at Mugga's house. He won't let us put a doll in it, even if it's a G.I. Joe doll. He just loves to push it around. He takes it down the slide with him, he jumps on the trampoline with it and yes, he takes it in the dirt with him. Anyhow, check out his grin. We've been working on getting him to smile for pictures. It's a great, big cheesy grin that shows off the amazing gap between his teeth. We don't think there is a cuter guy in the whole wide world.

Update on the swim lessons

We've been so fortunate to have a pool to swim in these cold winter months. We started mommy and me lessons around the end of January. Took a month off in April then had three private, half hour sessions with our instructor, in May, and look how it has paid off. The video isn't so hot because we use our camera instead of an actual camcorder, but it gets the job done. While Franklin was swimming, his buddie Micheal showed up. He's three months older and can rollover and float on his back without his mommy's help. We are just amazed at what our little boys can do. Props to their swim teacher Kimmie Matsunaga. We love you!

It's a girl!!

I have no idea why it's been a whole month since my last blog. It's a shame, but I know you aren't all sitting on pins and needles waiting for my updates anyhow, so I don't feel so bad.

We went to get an ultrasound of our baby "B" on Tuesday, May 13th. This is what we were shown...

The first photo is a beautiful profile. The last is of her parts. I'm no expert, but the technician was, so we believe her.

We cannot agree on any names, so if any of you out there would like to make suggestions, please feel free. However, do not submit anything like Jayden, Brayden, Caden....eeeeeeeewwwwww yucky. We're looking for something a bit more old fashioned and dainty.

Luckily we still have four and half months to decide.

Cozy Kid

This is our little creature of comfort. He LOVES his mommy's and daddy's bed. Every morning he comes in and wants to snuggle. Do we ever tell him no? No way!! He's talking up a storm lately. He's got his dad's talking genes and his mom's cozy genes. The best of both worlds...

The kid loves cake

Franklin turned TWO on April 13th. We celebrated by having TWO birthday parties. One with his cousins and one with his friends. Franklin's grandmama was in town and tried to help Franklin manage his cupcake. He wasn't having anything to do with that. It was his party and he'd have his cake and eat it too.

Helping out

In our last blog we showed our little mess maker and his cleaning skills. Here we showcase his mopping and breadmaking skills. What a great little helper Franklin has become. Now if only he could fold the laundry and of course, give his dad a few pointers.
